Job Overview:
GA Constructions (London) LTD is seeking a
Site Manager
to oversee the construction of a residential building. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining project timelines, and supervising on-site workers. The Site Manager will coordinate all aspects of the project, including the construction process, quality, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination
:
Manage and coordinate the construction process of the 3-story plus building from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain a project schedule to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all construction activities are executed according to the project plan.
On-Site Supervision & Leadership
:
Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to the approved design, plans, and specifications.
Ensure all team members, including subcontractors, labourers, and tradespeople, comply with the safety standards and procedures.
Lead and supervise daily site operations, providing leadership to on-site workers and ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and working efficiently.
Health & Safety Compliance
:
Enforce safety policies and procedures, including monitoring site safety and ensuring adherence to local building codes and regulations i.e. traffic, waste, and storage management, plant and equipment are inspected, issue permits.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure that safety equipment, plant, and PPE are provided and suitable for the task and used correctly by everyone.
Quality Control
:
Monitor the quality of workmanship on-site, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and in line with project specifications.
Inspect materials upon delivery and their correct use and construction processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Inspect the quality of work and sign it off.
Address any quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Budget & Resource Management
:
Assist in budget preparation when required and ensure that construction activities stay within financial and budget constraints.
Oversee resource management, including ordering materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction activities.
Track and report on construction progress, highlighting potential issues that could delay the project timeline.

Communication & Reporting
:
Maintain clear and continuous communication with the visiting project/contracts manager, stakeholders, and team members regarding the project's progress.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports and documentation, including reports on work completed, challenges faced, and upcoming tasks.
Keep track of and record all site meetings.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred not essential).
Proven experience in site management, especially in multi-story building construction.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Experience managing and leading a diverse team of workers and subcontractors.
Excellent site/project management and organisational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines, quality, and staying within budget.
Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.

Work Schedule
: 07:30-17:00, Monday to Friday (with occasional weekends based on project needs)
Salary
: Competitive salary based on experience
Contract
: Contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
