Working Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional weekend work

Day Rate:

250-300 per day (paid weekly)
Applicants must hold valid SMSTS, First Aid, and an Enhanced DBS issued within the past 3 months. If not, M&J can arrange a DBS check, which must be completed before starting.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Site Manager

to lead an 18-month project at Bristol University (BS8 1TR). This role requires managing daily site operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with both the client and project team.

The project includes overseeing

flat roofing works

(from ground level). While primarily a management role, the successful candidate will also be hands-on when necessary, including helping with general site tidiness.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise daily site activities Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards Carry out site inductions and safety briefings Oversee flat roofing works Coordinate subcontractors and allocate resources effectively Provide regular progress updates and written reports Maintain strong client relationships and a positive site environment

Required Qualifications & Certifications

SMSTS First Aid at Work Enhanced DBS (essential for this role)

Candidate Requirements

Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness for M&J to arrange one before start) Previous experience in a site management or supervisory role Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and safety procedures Practical, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
