About the Role
Starfish 9 Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key leadership role on-site, responsible for managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and labour to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues to senior management.
Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the construction process.
Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, material deliveries, and workforce attendance.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly and effectively.
Ensure site is kept clean, organised, and compliant with environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety regulations, and site management practices.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
CSCS card (Black or Gold).
First Aid at Work certification.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
Experience with residential, commercial, or refurbishment projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools such as Procore Construction Management Software.
