Ren Energy are seeking a skilled Site Manager to join our dynamic team at our Doncaster (Satellite Office) - covering East Midlands Area . This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our mission by overseeing project execution and ensuring the successful implementation of renewable energy solutions.
The
Site Manager
will act as the on-the-ground point of contact, overseeing daily operations on commercial renewable energy installation sites. You will bridge the gap between site operatives and senior management, ensuring smooth delivery of work packages, maintaining safety standards, and driving quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations
Supervise and support the daily tasks of
solar installers, commercial electricians, and subcontractors
.
Prepare construction sites, set them out, and organise initial activities before work begins.
Lead morning briefings, toolbox talks, and communicate site priorities clearly.
Support installation of
solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and solar carports
when required.
Manage resources including materials, tools, and machinery to keep projects on track.
Monitor budgets, schedules, and progress to ensure projects meet deadlines.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Coordination & Supervision
Act as the key liaison between site staff, Project Manager, and clients.
Ensure work is completed to specification, on schedule, and within quality standards.
Oversee efficient use of tools, materials, and access equipment.
Quality & Compliance
Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with
project drawings, RAMS, and industry standards
.
Report site issues, delays, or risks proactively.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and snagging lists.
Health & Safety
Enforce safe working practices at all times.
Support site inductions and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
Assist with incident reporting and risk assessments as required.
Assess and minimise risks on the construction site.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in
renewable energy installations
(solar PV, battery, EV preferred).
Prior supervisory or team lead experience on construction or energy projects.
Working knowledge of
Health & Safety requirements
on active construction sites.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and method statements.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
CSCS card (Gold or higher preferred).
SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable, or willingness to work towards).
