What is the role?



BRiCS Development are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join their Construction Team and report into the Head of Consruction.

The purpose of the role is to manage the construction site according to company guidelines and goals ensuring all aspects of the project are in line with proposed budgets, timelines and construction and quality standards.

The role will include:



Manage a construction site, to ensure the development is completed on time, to specification and safety regulations, while complying with company and construction build and quality standards Ensure all quality and safety inspections are within quality control standards. Ensuring that all plots are built to the highest standard of quality, complying with the NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, range specifications, and best practice. Facilitate communication and coordinate activities with external third-parties, such as warranty provider, local authorities and utility companies to ensure achievement of the build programme Maintaining accurate records for the development including but not limited to, Staff Inductions, Health, Safety and Environment, timesheets, incident reports, quality control checklists Ensure materials are called off in a timely manner and checked and stored in accordance with company guidelines Direct and supervise activity of the workforce, including all subcontractors, to ensure works are completed on time, to the desired quality standards and within budget Work cohesively with other departments across the Operating Company such as Sales and Customer Care to ensure achievement of targets, for example prompt resolution of customer care issues and timely updates relating to plot progress Ensure compliance of the site workforce and all visitors with the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy to minimise incidents and accidents Working with sales through regular sales/build meetings to ensure a smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers. To deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times. Carrying out New Home Tour with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home, answering any questions, and rectifying any issues before Legal Completion. Monitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriate.

What we need from you?



Experience within the house building industry is essential Extensive experience of working to an established build programme and managing key priorities. Demonstrated good leadership and assertive skills to ensure optimum delivery to the highest quality standards on site. In depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. health and safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations. A thorough knowledge and well-rounded experience of dealing with customers and potential customers in all aspects, such as the giving of information and advice, resolving any customer issues, confirming company procedures etc. CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Full UK Driving Licence Qualified to minimum NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management preferred
