Job Title: Site Manager

Location: Predominantly East London (70%), with projects across Greater London

Salary:

- 230 - 250 / day on CIS

- 50,000-60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Role Overview:

We're seeking a Site Manager who is hands-on, organised, and confident in leading teams and subcontractors on residential construction projects. This is a pivotal role requiring a strong communicator with a practical approach to solving problems, ensuring compliance, and keeping the site moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, leading by example Make confident, timely decisions and provide clear direction to all personnel Communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders Actively listen, manage conflict, and maintain a positive site environment Ensure all work is compliant with safety standards and regulations Maintain accurate site records and reports Plan and schedule labour, materials, and equipment to avoid delays Resolve technical issues and assess site conditions to adapt plans accordingly Monitor and uphold quality control throughout the build Minimise waste and maintain tight cost control Keep projects on schedule through careful planning and daily execution Enforce site safety protocols rigorously at all times Adjust team strategies in response to changes in weather, site conditions, or design revisions

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential refurbishment or fit-out projects SSSTS or SMSTS certification (mandatory) Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and efficiently Trade background (e.g. carpentry) is desirable
