About Us:
Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd is a leading company specialising in gas infrastructure projects across the UK.
We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee gas connection works, ensuring safety, quality, and project delivery standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise teams delivering gas connection works, including alterations, extensions, replacements, and reinforcement activities.
Oversee and coordinate labour across the connections workstream for both standard and non-standard projects.
Plan, schedule, and programme daily and weekly work activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Manage and monitor team holiday requests, ensuring timely submission to both internal management and the client to maintain contingency and business continuity.
Complete monthly team compliance audits covering mains laying, service laying, plant operation, site documentation, and overall site standards.
Ensure all work activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards at all times.
Manage material ordering, procurement, and resource allocation to meet project demands.
Deliver regular Toolbox Talks and monthly technical and safety audits for all teams.
Maintain and update operative training and competency records to ensure compliance.
Identify, report, and escalate variations and operational challenges to senior management promptly.
Represent Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd professionally during all interactions with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
Promote sustainable working methods, encouraging recycling and correct waste management practices across all sites.
What We're Looking For:
5-10 years' experience supervising gas construction or maintenance projects (up to 7 bar).
Strong understanding of Health and Safety, with SSSTS certification.
NVQ Level 4 Gas Network Engineering, NCO Gas, or UNCS (preferred).
SCO 1, 2, 4, and 5 qualifications (or willing to obtain).
EUSR SHEA Gas registration.
SWQR Supervisor Units 001 and 010-016.
Emergency First Aid certification (preferred).
Full UK Driving Licence (clean).
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Desirable:
IGEM Engineering Technician membership.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
Deep excavation and trench support knowledge.
Auditing experience.
