Green Cat Contracting

is a Civil Engineering contractor, based in Glasgow, specialising in Balance of Plant contracts to serve the renewable energy market throughout the UK.

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our team.

The company provides Construction and Project Management Services to clients developing Renewable Energy or other Civil Engineering projects. This includes - Civil & Electrical Design; Project Procurement; Contract Management; Site Supervision; Principle Contractor Role and Project Execution to completion.

GCC requires a Site Manager to join our team, across different sites, and with sister companies within the Green Cat Group.

Key responsibilities



Managing and optimising the construction programme. Managing and minimising construction costs. Fostering and maintaining good working relationships with the Client and Clients' Representatives. Leading, motivating and monitoring the site team and developing the strategy as required. Leading Safety Management on site for all activities, Suppliers and Subcontractors. Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary. Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of your responsibility. Check drawings and specifications. Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department. Ensure quality records are maintained as necessary to meet quality requirements. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise. Liaise with other function/departmental managers. Prepare and evaluate Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works.

The Ideal Candidate



Formal Qualification in Civil Engineering/Engineering/Quantity Surveying. Expected Job Role Level of Competency; HND, B.Eng or M.Eng. Site Experience 5 - 10 Years. Management Experience 2 years minimum. Willingness to undertake travel across the UK where appropriate. Must be eligible to work in the UK. Valid UK driving licence.
