We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead our prestigious, high-end residential construction project in Notting Hill, West London. You will oversee all on-site activities, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient site environment. This role involves managing subcontractors and direct labour, and reporting to a floating Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations, effectively coordinating and managing subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Monitor and drive project progress, maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards in line with project requirements.
Collaborate closely with the floating Project Manager, providing regular updates, detailed reports, and insights to support project oversight.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and stakeholders, ensuring project specifications are met and expectations are exceeded.
Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and quality.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and compliance records.
Manage labour allocation, ensuring optimal performance of both subcontractors and direct labour teams.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on high-end residential construction projects, with a track record of delivering projects valued between 1m and 4m+.
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
Current First Aid at Work certification.
CSCS
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams, including subcontractors and direct labour.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and technical specifications.
In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively with a floating Project Manager, providing clear and concise reporting.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
