Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Site Manager

to lead and coordinate structural steel installation projects on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, supervising installation teams, ensuring safety compliance, and liaising with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site activities and oversee all aspects of structural steel installation. Site locations will vary. Company transport is provided. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications. Supervise site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to quality standards. Monitor progress against project timelines and report regularly to senior management. Enforce and promote a strong health & safety culture across all site operations. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety inspections. Manage material deliveries, lifting operations, and equipment on-site. Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements

Experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor in structural steel erection or fabrication. Strong understanding of structural steel drawings and fabrication/erection methods. CSCS Card SMSTS / SSSTS certification (or equivalent). Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site priorities. Full UK driving license.
