Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Acts as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Management
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure timely progress.
Monitor project milestones and adjust schedules and strategies as needed.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Conduct site inspections and promote a strong culture of safety.
Maintain project documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
Budget & Cost Control
Monitor project budgets and control costs, identifying and addressing any variances.
Approve and track purchases, subcontractor invoices, and changes to project scope.
Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts.
Quality Assurance
Oversee quality control processes and ensure construction work meets required standards and specifications.
Address and resolve defects or issues promptly.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Provide regular project updates and progress reports.
Chair site meetings and produce minutes and action logs.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry (5+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and project management tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and construction management systems.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
SMSTS certification (essential)
First Aid at Work (preferred)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
