We are currently looking for a dynamic Site Manager to join our team at A&K Building Services Ltd.
This role will be based out of our office in Northenden, Manchester and will be working on a range of construction contracts throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Our current contract base that this role will be working on includes:
- DFG Extensions
- DFG Level Access Showers
- DFG Modular Ramps
- Void Contracts
- Responsive repair contracts
The individual hired in this role will gain vast experience in a large number of project types within construction and will be able to grow their understanding of managing teams extensively.
Within the role the individual will work alongside the Contract Manager and Managing Director to meet customers, schedule works for operatives, liaise with subcontractors and supervise all works that are performed on site.
The successful candidate will need to be a driven individual who is willing to take on a large amount of responsibility within the team and is able to effectively manage a workforce of operatives.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and coordinate our operatives to ensure timely completion of projects
- Survey new projects and complete expected schedules of works based on pre-agreed schedule of rates
- Liaise and coordinate teams of subcontractors to effectively work alongside operative schedules
- Coordinate and schedule material deliveries and work with the contract manager to achieve cost savings
- Ensure project compliance with CDM regulations including the preparation of RAMS, construction phase plans and site H&S packs (SMSTS qualification desirable but training can be provided for the right applicant)
- Actively supervise site performance, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards
Requirements
- Previous experience of construction site management
- Experience of CDM regulations and preparation of RAMS
- SMSTS qualification desirable not essential (training can be provided to the right applicant)
- Full clean driving license
- Good general IT skills and ability to use online job management systems effectively
