Key Roles and Responsibilities

Lead by example and proactively drive a Safety First Culture in line with Company SHEQ policies Create a safe and compliant working environment for all team members Monitor and continuously improve daily site operations Ensure compliance with waste management licences, consents, and all statutory requirements Develop a process-focused culture with strong problem-solving at all levels Build a high-performing, motivated workforce through staff engagement, PDRs, and succession planning Display strong execution skills with integrity and emotional intelligence Oversee plant maintenance, inspections, and critical spares management Drive employee training and ensure all competency requirements are met Apply fair and assertive people management to build trust and accountability Serve as a key link between the site and senior management, ensuring communication and delivery

Experience and Qualifications

Proven operational management experience in a similar supervisory role is essential Experience within the waste management and processing sector is advantageous, but not essential

IOSH Managing Safely qualification is required

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities Hands-on experience with plant and equipment operations
