About the Role

We are currently looking for a proactive and organised Industrial cladding and roofing site manager, who will oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects involving cladding and roofing systems. Ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing teams, subcontractors, material logistics and plant, as well as maintaining detailed project documentation and communication.

You'll be working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Due to the nature of some of our projects, you may be required to undergo security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

Manage and supervise roofing and cladding site operations from start to completion.

Liaise with main contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and the internal project team.

Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and job requirements.

Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and plant requirements.

Site Supervision

Lead teams of subcontractors working on-site.

Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.

Ensure quality control and adherence to installation standards.

Identify and solve problems and report progress to management.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Enforce health and safety procedures on-site in line with company and legal standards (e.g., RAMS, method statements, risk assessments).

Monitor safe use of PPE, working at height equipment, and fall protection systems.

Record and investigate incidents or near misses.

Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.

Ensuring all personnel on-site are aware of and comply with safety procedures.

Quality Control:

Monitoring workmanship and ensuring it meets quality standards.

Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks.

Addressing and rectifying any defects or non-conformities.

Communication & Reporting:

Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Providing regular progress reports to head office or clients.

Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and workforce attendance.

Documenting all site activities by submitting daily/weekly reports, photographs, and site diaries as required.

Coordinate site inspections and handovers with clients and third parties.

Team Management:

Supervising and managing site personnel, including subcontractors and tradespeople.

Motivating the workforce and ensuring productivity.

Providing guidance and support to site staff.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Site Manager in industrial roofing and cladding (preferably steel or metal systems).

Strong knowledge of roofing/cladding systems (e.g., standing seam, single ply, composite panels) and installation techniques.

CSCS (Gold/Black), SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

Valid UK driving license.

Excellent organisational, Leadership, and time management skills.

Proficiency in health and safety regulations and procedures.

IT literacy (Microsoft Office, site management software, etc.).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using relevant IT tools and software.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Desirable:

NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management or similar.

Working at Height or IPAF certification.

First Aid at Work qualification.

Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
