We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities are conducted efficiently and safely while managing a team of staff. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, safety standards and Roadform Standards.
Uphold and enforce Health and Safety on site.
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Address and rectify any defects or issues affecting the quality of work.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Manage and lead a construction team, including subcontractors and labourers.
Foster effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet project specifications.
Weekly meetings with Contract Managers to provide updates on project progress.
Regular updates to upper Management
Regular reports and updates to Quantity Surveyors
Ability to work to manage labour and material requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Respond promptly to unforeseen issues or emergencies on the construction site.
Skill
Relevant experience and qualifications
Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Excellent communication skills and experience of managing operatives and contractors on site.
A solid understanding of health and safety regulations and legislation and the ability to enforce compliance.
The ability to work to tight programmes.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills.
A full UK driving licence.
A good understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
