We are currently recruiting for a highways/civil engineering Site Manager to assume overall responsibility for all on-site construction activities for one of our projects starting soon!
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in highways or civil engineering who holds a Level 5 NVQ in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
You'll be confident leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You'll have hands-on experience across all aspects of highway construction and reconstruction, including excavation and earthworks, drainage, kerbing and edging, construction of road layers (sub-base, binder, and surface courses), footpaths and paved areas, line marking, street furniture installation, and safety barriers.
This role sits within the Sustainable Oldham: SOSPA initiative - a high-profile programme focused on highway improvements and delivering high-specification public realm projects across Oldham Town Centre.
As such, we're looking for someone who thrives in busy, live environments and takes pride in creating well-planned, accessible urban spaces.
The role of a Site Manager at Casey
Support the Contracts/Projects Manager with pre-construction planning.
Oversee site operations to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective project delivery through effective and efficient adherence to the programme of work.
Supervise and motivate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Manage site facilities, resources, and communication across all teams.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Order materials and plant.
Maintain and update Health & Safety plans, risk assessments, and training records.
Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Prioritise site safety for personnel, visitors, and the public.
Participate in incident investigations and promote best practices.
Monitor project progress and report against the programme of works.
Implement control measures to track performance and maintain records.
Coordinate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient resource use.
Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or budget.
Assist in managing financial aspects to maximise project profitability.

What do you receive in return?
Salary between 46,000 - 56,000 depending on experience
Car Allowance of 4,000 per annum
