The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery of a major Retrofit programme across our West Kent contract. The role will be primarily based in Swanley, with additional responsibility for a smaller site in Tunbridge Wells. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, car allowance, and excellent benefits.

The Role


As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day site operations, managing teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest standards. The focus will be on refurbishment and retrofit projects within social housing, so strong sector experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, supervise, and support site teams and subcontractors across retrofit and refurbishment projects. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, maintaining accurate site records. Oversee environmental and waste management procedures. Conduct staff, subcontractor, and visitor inductions. Manage directly employed staff, providing training, coaching, and performance reviews. Organise and chair regular site meetings, ensuring resources are used efficiently. Maintain excellent site presentation and uphold customer satisfaction standards.

What We're Looking For


Essential:



Proven experience in the social housing sector (non-negotiable). NVQ Level 4, HNC, or equivalent construction qualification. SMSTS certification. Scaffold inspection certificate. Appropriate CSCS card. First Aid at Work certificate. Asbestos awareness (duty to manage desirable). Strong understanding of building refurbishment works. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Full UK driving licence (maximum 5 points).

Desirable:



Retrofit programme experience. CIOB membership or construction-related accreditation. Knowledge of ASTA programming software. Experience delivering refurbishment projects for affordable housing clients. Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts. Knowledge of quality assurance and temporary works.
