Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced and proactive
Site Manager
to join our Asset department. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of defects and latent defects projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards of quality.
You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to monitor site progress, budgets and compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of building sites, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed standards and within programme deadlines
Build and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and suppliers, chairing regular site meetings to monitor progress against key milestones
Track project schedules and ensure all site activities comply with health and safety legislation, design specifications, and agreed quality standards
Liaise with suppliers to arrange plant, labour and materials while maintaining strict cost controls and providing regular progress updates to the Head of Post Construction Projects
Carry out regular visual and safety inspections to ensure the site remains safe, clean and well maintained at all times
Oversee induction of all subcontractors before work commences and ensure all risk assessments and method statements (RAMs) are reviewed and in place
Keep accurate and up-to-date site records, including registers, diaries, safety plans and progress reports
Support the defects and aftercare team by ensuring all new build defects are completed promptly and to a high standard
Attend and contribute to team meetings as required, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders
More About You
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A-C) Current holder of a CSCS card
Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software, with the ability to read basic project programming software such as Asta PowerProject and Microsoft Project Planner
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflict and resolution professionally
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential for this role
