We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations within a Forestry environment across the Midlands region and Norfolk / East Anglia. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and safely, while also managing a team of operatives.
The role involves significant travel, and candidates must be comfortable working remotely, with a flexible approach to work. Early starts and late finishes will be required, depending on project schedules.
Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
Ensuring all site teams are aware of shift production targets.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of operatives, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure that works are installed in accordance with scheme/project drawings and specification.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, manage and conduct formal audits and inspections at required intervals.
Identify, report and mitigate potential QSHE hazards on-site.
Set up and decommission site in accordance with CDM regulations where applicable.
Effective delivery of toolbox talks, inductions and other QSHE communications to their direct reports.
Recommend improvement ideas where additional efficiencies and other benefits can be achieved.
Maintain effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients to address any issues or concerns promptly.
Monitor site performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within construction.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to the site operations.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
