Job Overview

We are looking for a site operative to install metal fencing, balustrade's, handrails and structural steelwork. Previous experience is essential, as is a full driving license and blue skilled CSCS card. This is a manual role so applicants need to be physically fit and able to lift.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily site activities, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently. Support the setup and breakdown of equipment, materials, and work areas as required. Conduct routine safety inspections of the site, identifying hazards and reporting issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization across the site to promote a safe working environment. Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Support logistics by moving materials, tools, or supplies around the site using manual handling techniques or machinery if certified. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Record and report any incidents or irregularities during shifts to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction or industrial sites. Previous experience in a site operative or similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Valid certifications such as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or equivalent is mandatory. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
