Job Description

In this fantastic new role, you will join a growing team to work with a wide range of experience engineers, product managers, production support specialist supporting our Group AI offering (e.g. speech transcription, translation, knowledge management) for scaled consumption across our Group Business and Functions

AS an SRE you will contribute to the stability, scalability, and automation of our cloud-based production environments and play a key role in ensuring our services are reliable and high-performing. You will be passionate about both software engineering and operations.

In this role, duties will include:

Maintaining and supporting production systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability. Assisting in implementing SRE best practices including monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, and incident response. Deploying, configuring, and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Contributing to CI/CD pipeline development and configuration to streamline development and deployment processes. Automating repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to address issues and drive improvements across the stack. Participating in on-call support rotation and help resolve incidents in a timely manner. Documenting procedures, configurations, and post-incident reviews to foster a learning culture.


To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:

Technical:

SRE/DevOps/Production Support Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm) Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zipkin, Jeager, Datadog, etc.) CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Kubernetes gitops practice and toolings, such as ArgoCD, FluxCD or Tekton Scripting/programming - Python, Bash, Go, or comparable languages Linux system administration and networking fundamentals

This role is based in Sheffield on a hybrid basis.
