About the role



Due to expansion Pilgrim Foodservice Ltd is looking for a

Site Services Engineer

where no day will be the same. If you enjoy variety, you can expect plenty, you will be the first responder to equipment breakdowns, be responsible for site maintenance including Servicing, cleaning, and gardening around site, along with maintenance inspections checking condition of buildings, roof space inspections and overall functionality of safety systems across the entire site.

You will be comfortable working safely at height and be able to take preventative steps to effectively maintain equipment avoiding equipment failure in all areas including production machinery, water softeners, pump chambers, filter replacement amongst others whilst adhering to all Health & Safety procedures at all times. You must maintain a visual daily log of events using the site CMMS.

What you will be doing:



Ensure upkeep of site, which would include cleaning of the building, collecting rubbish, cleaning of walling and guttering. Gardening including mowing of grass, weeding, strimming, hedge cutting etc Checking vehicle plug in points Checking condition of building and fabrication both internal and external Racking checks Inspection of roof void areas (pipework, valves, lighting, pest activity, condensation etc). Meter readings Oil tank check, Ladder checks & Cage checks Checking control panels and electrical wiring Check functionality of Safety systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting, back up generators, intruder alarms, camera systems etc) Provide first response to equipment breakdowns To ensure the future operations of equipment, conduct scheduled maintenance activities to try and prevent potential issues Ensure communication with departmental managers relating to maintenance requests and activities Manage and communicate with contractors working on site to ensure they are working to required standards Assist with the installation of new equipment, moving of desks furniture equipment and machinery Ensure all work is conducted Safely

All we ask is that you have:



Preferably qualified in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance disciplines and/or background in Health & Safety maintenance/compliance. Minimum of 2 years mechanical and electrical engineering experience. Good attention to detail and high standards of accuracy. Health and Safety experience is essential. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong personal qualities and a positive, courteous, and calm approach to your work.
