Job Description

We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a Site Services Engineer with electrical bias experience to join the Engineering team at Fresh-Pak Chilled Foods at our Barnsley facility.

Reporting to the Site Services Team Leader, you will support the Engineering dept and manage the systems and procedures relating to site plant and maintain site fabrication and facilities, carrying out planned/reactive general maintenance task as and when required

Other key responsibilities will include (but not exclusive to): -

To ensure plant statutory checks are carried out, maintain and report on site plant including but not limited to: Steam Boiler Effluent Plant Chiller units Refrigeration plant Ensuring fixtures and fittings are in good working order including changing light fittings and Minor plumbing and carpentry Clearing or cleaning general areas Shifting furniture or equipment Assembling furniture or equipment Footpath maintenance Painting & decorating Clearing gutters Changing filters on air conditioning system Electrical systems and associated infrastructure (electrical bias)
The role holder will also ensure effective and timely completion of maintenance work orders in line with engineering KPIs. Work alongside the 1st line engineering team supporting continual improvement and cost saving initiatives with strong focus on employee welfare, safety and the environment.

Skills/Experience required:

This role would suit someone who enjoys DIY, or 'fixing things' and is competent in using hand tools. qualifications in plumbing, joinery, or engineering would be desirable but not essential.

Hours of work

: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Actual hours to be confirmed. However, the post holder will need to be flexible as some out of hours and additional cover may be required

Pay & Benefits:

monthly paid competitive salary (depending on experience) and comes with additional benefits such as 25 annual holidays + statutory, company sick pay.

Pay: 36,000.00-40,000.00 per year
