About the role
Join Balfour Beatty's Power T&D team and help shape the future of the UK's energy infrastructure.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor (Cabling) to support the delivery of 66kV to 132kV cabling projects across the Southwest region. You will play a vital role in ensuring our high-voltage projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
What you'll be doing
Lead and supervise site operatives, ensuring all work is carried out safely, competently, and within agreed timeframes.
Ensure operatives are trained and equipped to use the appropriate plant and equipment required for cable installation activities.
Monitor site activities and enforce compliance with health and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with Site Engineers and the Site Manager to deliver projects to schedule and quality expectations.
Address and resolve site-level issues promptly to maintain progress against programme milestones.
Support the implementation of project-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are Essential:
Previous experience of the construction and delivery of Overhead Line, Cabling or
Substation schemes up to 400kV
Experience in implementing safe systems of work
Effective Communication Skills
Excellent relationship management skills
Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team for success
Holds a current driving license
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control
Good understanding of current safety legislation
The candidate is likely to have the following:
Holds CSCS and SSSTS or Equivalent
