Site Supervisor - Civil Engineering (Groundworks & RC Frames)

We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in the Reading area. They are looking for a Site Supervisor with solid experience in groundworks, utilities, and reinforced concrete structures to support daily site operations on a technically complex and high-profile project.

The site operates within a secure and regulated environment, so candidates must be eligible for clearance and willing to undergo background checks as part of the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily site activities relating to groundworks, service diversions, and RC frame works Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project standards and specifications Coordinate labour, plant, and materials on site to maintain smooth operations Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce adherence to health & safety policies Monitor work quality and progress; report issues or delays to the Site Manager or Project Manager Support the preparation and management of site documentation including daily records, RAMS, and progress reports Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition Promote and uphold a strong health & safety culture among the workforce Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the client counterpart Record daily activities and outputs accurately Attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABs) Understand technical drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications Work in line with the client's logistics plan and manage deliveries accordingly

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on civil engineering projects Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in groundworks and reinforced concrete frame structures SSSTS, and a valid CSCS card are essential Previous experience on secure or regulated sites is beneficial Based within a commutable distance to Reading
