To assist the site manager and supervise the M&E scope of works on site including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.


Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site. Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business. Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management. Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including Low Voltage procedures and Impressed Voltage procedures Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff. Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department. Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff. Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence. Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications




General Certificate of Secondary Education applicable years of exp in lieu of degree 8 years of experience in the T&D industry in an M&E role, preferably on National Grid sites Required Full UK driving licence Nation Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS IOSH environmental or equivalent CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport Previous experience in a supervisory level HNC / HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Formal Electrical / Mechanical training Impressed Voltage training Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience IOSH environmental or equivalent HSG47 IOSH environmental or equivalent
