Site Support and Logistics Technician Job description
Do you want to be part of a team helping to prepare our properties, for new residents with a particular focus on environmental and garden work?
We require motivated clean and clear operatives with responsibility for void properties across the city.
You will be helping to prepare our empty properties, for new residents by ensuring they are clean, safe, and presentable. This role involves completing property clearance, final cleans, and garden clears. Location: The role is based at Manor Lane although working in different locations across Sheffield may be required at times. Please note a clean driving licence is essential for this role You will -
Respond to environmental problems, including illegally dumped commercial, household waste & garbage, animal carcasses and undertake internal & external clearances as directed. including loft spaces, cellars, out-houses, gardens etc
Use IT systems to schedule work, record data, request materials and complete jobs using a schedule of rates on a 'handheld' device.
Carry out organised visits to tenanted and vacant properties
Undertake collection, loading and disposal of waste
Undertake clearance/ cleaning/ disinfection of noxious, verminous or contaminated articles and premises including faeces, sharps in both vacant and occupied properties
Drive Council and other vehicles and carry out routine daily vehicle checks in line with existing procedures

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
