Job Purpose
To undertake and oversee all works carried out on multiple sites, supporting the Contracts Manager in supervising site operatives, site team leaders and sub-contractors to SafeSite Facilities, assisting in controlling materials/plant, ensuring compliance with Construction Industry Codes of Practice, Company Procedures, Relevant Safety Standards and Client requirements.
The Site Team Leader plays a crucial role in working with, overseeing and managing day-to-day operations at various customer sites, nationwide. This position involves coordinating and supervising contracted tasks and activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and communicating effectively with team members, sub-contractors and the Contracts Management Team.
Health, Safety & Environment
This role requires the role-holder to ensure that all operatives follow Health and Safety Policies and mitigation practices as per RAMS, Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
This role holder will be expected to conduct Site Inductions and ensure that their operatives and team leaders are completing work efficiently, safely and in accordance with time requirements.
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:
Taking a senior role within the Installations team and prepared to go the extra mile.
To carry out a range of tasks on various sites such as erecting and dismantling timber hoarding, installing and dismantling temporary metal fencing panels and plastic barriers.
To load/unload equipment. From vehicles and otherwise as needed.
Safely drive Safe Site Vehicles and abide by traffic rules and regulations.
Ensuring that vehicle use complies with Fleet Management policies and procedures.
To comply with specific Risk Assessments and method statements for construction activities.
To adhere to Company Policies, Codes of Practice and carry out the work in a safe and effective manner.
To liaise with customers at site level effectively and promote customer satisfaction.
Attend weekly/monthly team briefings as required.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and that actions taken do not endanger yourself or others.
Co-operate with management and ensure all works are carried out to a high-quality
Wear all PPE as required by company procedure .
Ensure that Team Members wear the correct PPE as required for tasks at hand.
Inspect and report daily any defects to tools and equipment directly to the Contracts Manager.
Report any hazards, near misses, accidents, incidents as soon as possible to the Contracts Manager.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
To carry out any other duties appropriate for this post.
Role Demands
The role requires the post holder to physically lift and carry equipment following Health & Safety procedure. The role may require working antisocial hours & on occasions being away from home. The role requires the candidate to have a full driving license.
Level of Knowledge & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in a similar role.
CSCS card is a basic requirement.
SSSTS is a basic requirement.
Full driving license.
Fencing and Hoarding Experience.
NVQ Level 2 Skilled worker

Salary
