Purpose of Role
Join our team as a Facilities Manager on a key Defence contract, based at the prestigious Telemetry & Command Station in Oakhanger.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of hard FM services across a technically complex site, overseeing a team of 6 shift engineers and managing subcontractor performance. You'll ensure seamless customer service, compliance, and operational excellence across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning systems. This is a technically focused environment, so strong knowledge of SFG20 and building maintenance best practices will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
Manage the client relationship and act as the primary interface for site stakeholders
Lead the delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance via internal teams and specialist subcontractors
Ensure contract compliance, including health & safety, statutory obligations, and quality standards
Carry out regular site audits and implement an effective assurance regime
Oversee and monitor additional small works
Support general facilities management activities, reporting, and performance tracking against KPIs & SLAs
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams
A strong understanding of SFG20, CDM, and HSE compliance
Proven success delivering against KPIs and managing SLAs
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
IOSH (or equivalent) certification required
Relevant technical qualifications desirable but not essential
