Job description

We are seeking an experienced

Site-Based Electrical Engineer

to support the delivery of a large

warehouse / industrial project

in Bridgwater. This is a hands-on site role responsible for coordination, quality, programme support, and technical delivery of electrical installation works.

This position suits an engineer who is comfortable operating on live sites, coordinating multiple work fronts, and driving issues to resolution quickly.

Key responsibilities

Manage day-to-day electrical delivery on site across multiple work areas Review drawings and specifications; raise and manage RFIs, technical queries, and clarifications Coordinate interfaces with other trades including builders works, steelwork, mechanical and fire services Maintain installation quality through inspections, snagging, and ITP compliance Support testing and commissioning preparation and assist with handover documentation (as-builts, O&M inputs) Assist with short-term planning, progress tracking, and materials procurement Provide strong health & safety leadership and ensure compliance with site RAMS and standards
Essential requirements (applications without these will not be considered)

Proven experience in a

site-based electrical engineering role

on warehouse or industrial projects

SMSTS - essential

ECS card - essential

IPAF - essential

Strong working knowledge of

BS7671

and electrical installation best practice Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications confidently Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and site teams
Desirable

HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) Experience working on fast-track or containment-heavy projects Familiarity with QA systems, digital snagging tools, and structured handover processes
