Siteworks Manager


Location: Peterlee Office (hybrid or full-time office based - full time office based for the first 3 months probation period).

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday between 7am-7pm)

Start Date: 7th April 2026





About the Role


As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our Siteworks team and are looking for a people-focused Siteworks Manager to lead this function.


This role sits at the centre of operational delivery, supporting siteworks activity across non-household water retail, waste collection and connectivity. You will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while remaining flexible as services and priorities continue to evolve.


Based in our Peterlee office, you will lead an office-based team and work closely with internal teams and external partners. This role is well suited to an experienced operational manager who enjoys developing people, improving ways of working and ensuring delivery is consistent, well controlled and customer focused.

What you'll be doing


As Siteworks Manager, you will be accountable for the performance, capability and day-to-day leadership of the Siteworks team, ensuring siteworks activity is delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with industry and contractual requirements.


Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager, you will manage a Team Leader and an office-based team, acting as a key link between operational delivery, internal stakeholders and external partners.


Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing siteworks delivery across non-household water retail, waste and connectivity services Ensuring meter reading activity meets industry guidelines and performance targets, with appropriate over sight of quality, timeliness and data accuracy Owning the end-to-end provisioning process across waste and connectivity, ensuring orders are progressed efficiently from request through to completion Coordinating waste service delivery, including scheduling activity and ensuring purchase orders are raised, managed and processed accurately Managing connectivity orders to ensure timely delivery and effective communication with internal teams and external partners Leading, coaching and developing the Siteworks team, ensuring clear objectives, effective performance management and strong engagement Acting as a senior escalation point for operational or customer issues, resolving problems fairly and efficiently Monitoring performance and using insight to identify risks, improve delivery and support continuous improvement


What success looks like in 2026


By the end of 2026, the Siteworks Manager will have:

Built a stable, engaged and well-performing Siteworks team with clear roles, responsibilities and accountability Established consistent and reliable siteworks delivery, with fewer delays, rework and escalations Developed strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners, improving coordination and outcomes Improved visibility and control of siteworks activity through clear reporting, governance and escalation routes Reduced operational risk by ensuring quality, compliance and customer impact are actively managed Put the foundations in place for the Siteworks function to scale as the business continues to grow

What we're looking for


We're looking for a strong people manager who is comfortable balancing day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term improvement and relationship management.


You'll ideally have:

Proven experience leading and developing teams in an operational or service-led environment Confidence managing workflows, priorities and escalations in a fast-paced setting Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving Excellent communication and organisational skills Experience within utilities, infrastructure or regulated environments is helpful but not essential.
