Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical (essential) and electrical systems(advantageous), with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves assembling, installing, and maintaining various components while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. The Fitter will also play a key role in providing exceptional customer service. The role is workshop and site based. so flexibility to work weekends and staying away is essential. We also pay an extra hourly rate for working away.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install equipment in the workshop and on site. Site work within the food industry so adhering to all safety regulations etc is essential. Welding background would be advantageous as part of the assembly would require tig welding to high standards. Provide excellent customer service as you would be representing the company on site and potentially being point of contact. Document work performed, including maintenance logs and reports on equipment status. Leadership skills in order to run an assembly team both in workshop and on site.

Experience

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with electrical systems and logic controllers is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams effectively. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for clear communication with team members and clients. A background in customer service is advantageous, contributing to positive client interactions.
