Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced skateboarder to take charge of our brand-new indoor skate park in Hove. You'll manage daily operations, lead coaching sessions for kids, teens, and adults, and help grow a vibrant skate community. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and big opportunities for growth as The Skate Club continues to expand.

We're opening our new indoor skate park in Hove and looking for a
Skate Park Manager & Lead Coach
to help us build something special. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company with big ambitions and plenty of room to grow.
The Role
You'll manage the daily operations of The Skate Club Hove skate park, lead our coaching team, and help create an inspiring, safe, and welcoming environment for skaters of all ages.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves skateboarding, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the skate park
Organise staff rotas and oversee scheduling
Lead skateboarding lessons and support the coaching team
Deliver sessions for kids, teens, and adults, including
Holiday Skate Clubs
Provide training and mentoring to coaches and assistants
About You
We're looking for someone who's:
An
experienced skateboarder
with a strong understanding of skate culture
Experienced working with
children and young people
Confident coaching skateboarders of different ages and abilities
Organised, reliable, and proactive
A clear communicator and natural leader
Skilled at managing time and prioritising tasks
Creative and motivated to help grow the park and community
Bonus skills (not essential):
Safeguarding and first aid training
Experience in youth work, sports coaching, or education
DBS certificate (or willingness to complete one)
Track attendance numbers and session performance
Handle cashing up, takings, and stock management
Deal with deliveries and post online merchandise orders
Keep the park clean, safe, and well-maintained
Help run community events, jams, and special sessions
Liaise with local businesses based at the site
Work closely with our marketing coordinator to produce social media content and promote sessions
