to join a major aerospace programme in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of composite and metallic assemblies, supporting the build of aircraft wing structures and sub-assemblies. You'll be part of a highly skilled production team operating to exacting quality standards and engineering requirements.
Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday 6am to 6pm half hour unpaid lunch
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and trim composite and metallic aircraft components
Drill, ream, countersink, and fettle using approved tools and techniques
Set components in calibrated jigs and carry out accurate fitting operations
Perform deburring and under-head radius finishing
Use nut runners and pre-set torque guns for fastener installation
Work to technical drawings and specifications
Self-certify work in line with quality requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
Operate in line with site health and safety procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification (desirable)
Minimum 3 years' experience in aircraft assembly using technical drawings and build processes
Proven background working with composite materials in a production environment
Key Skills:
Strong hand-fitting skills and precision in trimming composite/metallic components
Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
Confident using manual and power tools
Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Familiarity with SAP or similar manufacturing IT systems
Willingness to learn and support production training needs
Experience operating CNC equipment (desirable)
