Skilled Groundworker - Services, Drainage & External Works

Coinford is seeking

experienced Skilled Groundworkers

with a proven background in

services, drainage, and external works

. This role is ideal for confident groundworkers who can work to high standards across

internal drainage, finishing works, and full external packages

, with long-term continuity of work on major projects.

Key Responsibilities - Skilled Groundworker

Read and interpret drawings, service layouts, and specifications accurately Carry out

internal and external drainage works

, including installation of concrete, clay, and plastic pipes (all sizes) Confident use of

pipe lasers

to achieve precise levels and gradients Competently set up and use

trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes

Complete

manhole benching

to a high standard Manage groundwater effectively, including selecting and setting up pumps Ensure correct

bedding, surround, testing, and backfilling

of trenches Work safely and confidently around

live services

, using proven service-avoidance techniques Deliver high-quality

external works

, including:

+

Slabs

+

Kerbs and edgings

+

Block paving

+ General finishing and formation works
Demonstrate strong knowledge of materials and methods for underground drainage, road make-up, and external works Carry out daily pre-start plant checks and routine maintenance, reporting issues to site management

Tickets & Experience (Highly Desirable)

CPCS / NPORS Dumper ticket

CPCS / NPORS Roller ticket

Additional plant tickets advantageous

5-10+ years' experience

as a Skilled Groundworker Experienced

groundworks gangs or teams

welcomed
