Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled labourer to join our team in a physically demanding role producing precast concrete & Cast Stone products for the construction industry. Working within various stations in our factory you will be responsible for quality workmanship, producing a wide range of products ready for despatch to our customers. Whether working on a machine line, preparing pallets of product, working on special moulds or making traditional Cast Stone products, there is always something going on in our factory. We are now looking for the next generation and progression within D Marshall & Sons Glasgow Ltd is inevitable for the right person who provides commitment and takes pride in their work. Our employee's are part of the family with many working with us for over 25 years.
Basic numeracy skills are required as you would be required to work from job cards on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Palletise products ready for despatch
- Use hand tools for mould preparation
- Keep work area clean and tidy
Experience
The successful candidate should ideally possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques
- Competence with power tools
- Forklift License preferred but not essential
- Proficient in using hand tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From 12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
