1. Overview

We're a

well-established building and maintenance company

working with property management firms, surveyors, and private clients across

Sussex

.

We're looking for a

Skilled Labourer

who already has solid on-site experience and wants to

build their skills further

within a supportive, professional team.

You'll be involved in a range of work -- from

refurbishments and extensions

to

general maintenance

and

block management projects

(both interior and exterior). You'll mainly be based around

Brighton & Hove

, but may occasionally travel to jobs in

Hastings, Bognor, Crawley

, and other Sussex areas.

2. What You'll Be Doing

Assist tradesmen and site teams with general building and maintenance tasks. Keep sites clean, organised, and safe at all times. Handle materials, tools, and deliveries efficiently. Carry out basic works within your ability (e.g. mixing, basic fixing, cutting, small patching jobs). Use initiative on site spotting what needs doing and getting stuck in without waiting to be told. Report progress, issues, and material needs to the site lead or Operations Manager. Record completed works or site updates using our simple mobile app. Always work safely and professionally, following company and site procedures.

3. What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience

working on construction or maintenance sites.

Basic tools (hand and power)

suitable for general labouring work.

Full UK driving licence

and

own transport

(expenses reimbursed when possible under UK tax Law).

Smartphone

and confidence using simple apps for reporting. Willingness to

learn from experienced builders

and develop into a more skilled, well-rounded tradesperson. Strong work ethic -- reliable, punctual, and takes pride in a job well done. Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Understanding of basic

Health & Safety

on site.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 15.63-18.13 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
