We are a leading landscaping and tree surgery contracting business formed originally in 1992. Our head office is situated in Ingham, near Bury St Edmunds, and we have a further depot in Betley to the south of Manchester. Brief
We are looking for two skilled operatives with at least two years' experience to join our existing landscaping team on a self-employed, full-time, basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company where you can progress within a reputable organisation that has been established for over 30 years.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the skills you already possess, and your understanding of plant husbandry and fencing, you will hopefully already hold a valid CSCS card. We are looking for an individual with groundwork experience as well as knowledge of setting out jobs.
We expect applicants to be team players but have the ability to work independently when necessary and be able to use your own initiative.
You should have a good level of common sense with a 'can do' attitude. A full clean driving licence is an essential requirement of this position, and this must be stated in your application otherwise you will not be considered for the job.
You will be involved in all aspects of soft landscaping by assisting our landscaping department.
You will be reliable, motivated, conscientious, hardworking and physically fit; enthusiastic, polite and presentable and have good timekeeping
Main Duties/Skills:
Soil installation and preparation
Setting out and planting, trees, shrubs and whips
Cultivation of soil and turfing or seeding
General maintenance
Experience in using different types of plant & machinery
Possess a good understanding of health & safety
