About the Role

We are seeking a professional and motivated Skills Coach to support learners in the development of their English and Maths skills. The successful candidate will deliver structured workshops and individual support sessions, ensuring that learners receive high-quality guidance and make measurable progress towards their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver well-planned workshops and support sessions in English and/or Maths. Provide tailored guidance to help learners overcome barriers and achieve consistent progress. Monitor, track, and record learner development in accordance with organisational procedures. Offer constructive feedback and maintain high standards of learner engagement. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure that learners receive comprehensive and coordinated support.

Working Hours

Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00 Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

About You

Experience working with young people and an understanding of the challenges that can impact their achievement. Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support learners. Experience in coaching, mentoring, or facilitating learning activities is highly advantageous. A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or higher in one or both areas).

Desirable:

A recognised teaching qualification. Recent and relevant professional development. Degree-level qualification. Certification related to online learning platforms.
