Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV skip Driver. The ideal candidate will possess a valid HGV 2 driving licence and have experience in ship work. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to operate a skip lorry . The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting skips and collecting skips to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods, particularly on flatbed vehicles. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Collaborate with team members to improve delivery processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is required. A valid class 2 driving licence is required Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues during routes. Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
