Responsible for Collection and Separation of recyclable materials
The applicant must have a proven record in dealing with the public and be able to effectively communicate verbally face to face with members of the public.
The applicant must have the ability to educate members of the public to promote user awareness, provide guidance on how best to deliver standardised site specific recycling information, and oversee site operations. Knowledge of Waste Recycling is desired, full training will be given.
The job will require the successful candidate to work outside in all weathers.
You will be based at Auchterarder Recycling Centre and in addition, duties may also involve providing cover at other civic amenity sites as requested by supervisory staff.
You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post and be able to communicate effectively with team members and the public. You must be a team player who understands the importance of good morale and proactively pursues good professional relationships with colleagues.
A full category B driving licence is essential (manual transmission).
The contracted shift pattern is 34hrs per week:
Tuesdays & Thursdays 08:45hrs - 19:15hrs
Saturdays & Sundays 09:45hrs - 17:15hrs
