We are seeking a skilled Slab Layer / Slab Laying Gang to join our team. This role involves laying slabs with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. This position is essential for ensuring the quality and durability of our projects.

Responsibilities

Lay slabs according to project specifications and drawings, ensuring accuracy in measurements and alignment. Prepare the site by clearing debris and ensuring a level surface for slab installation. Mix and apply mortar or concrete as required for slab laying. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Conduct regular inspections of laid slabs to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Adhere to health and safety regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proven experience in slab laying or similar construction roles is preferred. Strong understanding of construction methods and materials related to slab laying. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Good physical fitness, as the role requires lifting, standing for long periods, and performing manual tasks. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Proven experience in slab laying (minimum 2 years) CSCS card Ability to work independently or as part of a gang Strong work ethic and attention to detail Must be reliable and punctual
