Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on-site. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage the slinging of materials, ensuring they are moved safely and efficiently to designated locations. Communicate effectively with team members, including crane operators and ground personnel, to coordinate lifting operations. Conduct pre-lift checks to ensure all equipment is in good working order and that safety measures are in place. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required, demonstrating strong teamwork skills. Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or safety to supervisors promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in construction or a similar role is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly in English. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation of materials as necessary. Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations is advantageous. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
