Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient movement of materials on-site. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting materials as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and manage the movement of construction materials using appropriate equipment. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely delivery and placement of materials. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from lorries and other vehicles. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English. A valid driving licence is required for this role. Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately. A proactive approach to safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and practices.
