We have an administrative opportunity within our friendly and supportive small animal (SA) insurance and sales ledger office team at our popular and respected independent veterinary practice, based in Malmesbury. You will be part of a team covering the key responsibilities listed below, focused on our clients while also supporting vets, our client care team and your office colleagues with your experience and skills. Salary:
12.60 per hour
Work Pattern/Hours of work:
minimum 30 hours, on minimum 4 days a week between the hours of 8.30am to 5:00pm (negotiable start and finish).
Key responsibilities:
Logging and processing of pet insurances for our clients at The George Veterinary Hospital, including resolution of queries
Accurate recording of all claims against patient records on our client management system - VetIT
Allocation and payment of insurance cheques/BACS payments
Emailing clients to advise of outstanding amounts once claims have been paid (e.g. "excess" payments)
Chasing outstanding claims through to completion
SA invoicing of Insurance accounts payable
Liaising with credit control
And in addition (on occasion):
Support to other teams within the same office
Providing supporting teams (e.g. Client Care) with training on processes for where improvements or efficiencies can be achieved
Supporting Sales Ledger operation, dealing with sales ledger queries and client care support.
Supporting office admin team functions when cover may be required
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Insurance claims processing experience (desirable)
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Able to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines
Effective communication across multiple channels
IT skills including Excel, Outlook, and Word
Good numeracy skills and an attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and support others when required
A flexible mindset and ability to adapt to the changing demands of workloads
