Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Small Works Contracts Manager to join our team. As a Small Works Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for liaising with clients, assessing required works, supervising and managing working foreman / sub-contractors to ensure works are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. The role requires strong leadership abilities and excellent organizational skills. The successful applicant will need a trade background with an overall knowledge of all trades. The projects you would be overseeing will be from 500 - 100,000

Duties

- Liaise with clients to look at projects and offer advice on solutions and provide information for the estimating team to price works where required.

- Organise and coordinate the jobs including CPHSP, Rams, works programme

- Assign tasks and provide clear instructions to ensure work is completed according to specifications

- Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure adherence to project timelines and standards

- Train new workers on proper techniques and safety procedures

- Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or areas for improvement

- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop work plans and schedules

- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and labor used on each project

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Skills

- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proven experience in supervising and managing a team of workers

- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure

- Proficient in using construction tools and equipment

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
