We are seeking experienced and qualified

Smart Meter Engineers

to join our growing team to support the nationwide rollout of smart meters across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking energy services company that values safety, quality, and excellent customer service.

As a

Dual Fuel Engineer

, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of smart gas and electric meters in domestic properties. You'll be the face of our company to customers, ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard with full compliance to industry regulations.

Responsibilities



Install, exchange, and commission

smart gas and electric meters

in domestic properties. Carry out

routine maintenance and fault-finding

on metering systems. Ensure all work complies with

industry standards

, including

SMICoP

,

MOCoP

, and company safety protocols. Accurately complete

job documentation and reports

via handheld devices (PDA/tablet). Communicate effectively with customers, explaining how smart meters work and answering basic usage questions. Adhere to daily schedules and appointment windows while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Maintain a

clean and safe working environment

, ensuring any issues are reported and escalated as necessary. Take responsibility for

vehicle, tools, equipment

, and PPE provided by the company. Follow company policies and procedures, including

health and safety, customer service, and data protection

. Support company values by providing a

professional and courteous service

at all times.

Qualifications



Proven experience in engineering roles, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in engineering applications. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field are preferred but not essential.

Pay: 37,677.00-41,272.00 per year
