Job Purpose:

At MoreLife UK, we're committed to delivering accessible, community-centred health support. As a Smoking Cessation Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our outreach work--empowering individuals to quit smoking and improve their health through face-to-face engagement in the places where they live, work, and connect.

This role is face-to-face and requires regular travel across the London Borough of Hounslow, including work in community hubs, pharmacies, libraries, and local health centres. You'll be visible in the community--offering support directly to individuals through events, workshops, and outreach initiatives, while also building strong local networks.

About the Role:

We're looking for a dynamic, outgoing Smoking Cessation Advisor to deliver targeted outreach and face-to-face support in key locations across Hounslow. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in community-facing roles and is passionate about engaging with diverse populations to promote smoking cessation. You'll travel regularly between areas such as Hanworth, Isleworth, Brentford, Feltham, and Meadowbank, building local relationships, running drop-in clinics, engaging pharmacies, and hosting educational workshops in community spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person smoking cessation support through one-on-one and group interventions at a variety of community locations across Hounslow. Engage with local communities through outreach events, pop-up stands, and drop-in sessions to raise awareness and encourage participation. Build and maintain effective partnerships with local pharmacies, GP surgeries, and voluntary sector organisations to enhance referrals and collaborative support. Work closely with pharmacies to embed smoking cessation support within their services and identify clients who could benefit from tailored interventions. Develop personalised quit plans and provide continuous motivational support based on individual client needs and circumstances. Host educational workshops and group sessions, promoting smoking cessation and wider health and wellbeing messages. Represent MoreLife UK at community events and health promotion activities, acting as a visible ambassador for the service. Maintain accurate and timely records of client engagement, progress, outcomes, and activity logs using digital systems. Stay up-to-date with current smoking cessation research, tools, and best practices, including NRT and behavioural support techniques.

About You:

We're looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is passionate about helping people improve their health and well-being. You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys working in the community and building lasting relationships. You should also be comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively.

NCSCT Level 2 Smoking Cessation Advisor qualification (or willingness to complete). Experience delivering health services or outreach within a community setting, and previous experience working in public health, primary care, or pharmacy settings. Excellent face-to-face communication and engagement skills. Ability to work independently across various community settings. Knowledge of the local Hounslow area and its communities. Strong relationship-building abilities, particularly with local health providers and community groups. Good IT skills and confidence in using digital tools for record keeping. Flexibility to travel across the borough regularly as part of your role.
