As an Safety Management System (SMS) Officer, you'll play a vital role in driving safety performance and assurance across our airside operations. From monitoring compliance and analysing KPI data to managing safety reports and documentation, you'll be a key driver in maintaining and enhancing our airside safety standards.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with good emphasis on teamwork with a collaborative approach, have excellent organisational skills and will work to continuously improve Airside Safety Management.
Managing the Aerodrome Safety Management System (SMS) and providing management information aligned with CAA requirements, including evaluation, monitoring, and action tracking.
Maintaining documentation for both safety and quality management systems, and producing materials that support continuous improvement.
Overseeing the full lifecycle of incident and near-miss reviews, ensuring non-compliance is identified and escalated appropriately.
Presenting safety data and KPI performance to highlight trends, risks, and operational hazards.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality formal documentation.
Ability to follow structured processes while also applying lateral thinking to problem-solving.
Experience in continuous improvement, with the ability to analyse data and craft compelling narratives that drive change.
A valid UK driving licence and the ability to meet occupational health requirements for an Airside Driving Permit.
