Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronic assembly, with hands-on experience in surface mount technology (SMT). As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of SMT equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.

Duties

Feeder Loading. PCB Setup - handling loading for the production line processes. Paste Stencil Setup & Operation, including new programme creation, stencil loading, existing programme setup, production processing, cleaning stencils and associated tooling. SMT Machine Setup & Operation, including programme creation, job setup, production processing and stripping the machine and returning parts to the kit in the specified order. Reflow Operation - production of assembled PCBs through the reflow oven process.

Requirements

2+ years' of proven experience in a similar role, with;

Good knowledge PCB level SMT component assembly. Basic knowledge of PCB technologies. Good knowledge of SMT assembly processes. Experience of reading and following work/build instructions. Experience of IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) is preferred. Understanding of Moisture Sensitivity Levels (MSL). Ability to communicate clearly and calmly verbally. Good level of IT literacy in machine control and programming software and ability to learn a new software as required.
